Why All The Fighting?

Hola.

So, Two weeks left and thus far I still haven't done anything with my Summer.... Any suggestions people? Skydiving? Bungee Jumping? Anything?

Moving on, why is everyone tearing into each other over the internet? SORT IT OUT IN PERSON! Whoever it is that is fighting and whatever it is you are fighting about... The internet is no place to sort things out... It's just thick to be honest.

I think I'll leave everything there.

Also: Watch House... It's amazing.

Cheerio.
Eoin.

Sunday, 27th July, 23:16.

Hello there.

So, I got bored and decided to write a blog for the first time since Summer began.

Well, it hasn't exactly been the most interesting of Summers so far. I've spent most of my time either sleeping, loitering or gigging.

To be honest, this Summer isn't really doing much for me, it's sad to say but, I'm actually somewhat looking forward to the start of 5th year, I mean, it's just bringing me slightly closer to getting out of this hell-hole of a town and onto college in somewhere somewhat reputable. I've been thinking of either Cork or Waterford (If it is bumped up to a university within the next year, as they are trying to do) if both of those fail, then probably Galway.

In other news, played a gig in Waterford yesterday, it went exceedingly well, got a hell of a lot of complements, been invited back sometime in the future. So the music thing seems to be going quite well for me.

The last few days in general have been weird for some reason though, I've spent a few hours of everyday re-reading jPod and Microserfs by Douglas Coupland, they are two amazingly brilliant books by a truly amazing author.

I think I shall leave you know, I've run out of things to write, I'll leave you with these words: Download or Buy Scars on Broadway it is an utterly amazing album.

Ta ta!

Really, Really, Really Frightening Goings On...

Now, I will be blunt... I am scared, for the first time in my entire 4 year spell in Mounthawk, I am totally and utterly scared. I've been trying for the last 2 hours to get my first 3 scenes of Macbeth learned and nothing is sticking... I'm really, really petrified for myself now. The end of year show is on Friday, and with 4 days to go we have nothing done in Macbeth, it's a 20 minute long piece and nobody has anything done, especially myself. I'm worried, totally fucking worried.

As well as that, I have portfolio work to get finished, projects to hand up and other pieces of work for the end of year show to get finished. To be honest, I am exhausted with trying to get everything done.

Other than work, Ms. Glancy unleashed the Super-Bitch that I know had been dwelling inside her for a while, she upset quite a few people with a 10 minute tirade which wasn't totally justified, but I could see where she was coming from. She didn't accept that I couldn't get a lift into the show we were meant to be performing at and just completely let loose. She did the same with others, it was just completely and utterly horrible.

So now I'm off to a night of learning my lines, a Tuesday of absolute misery and another 4 day of agonising running around and trying to get things finalised.

I wish everyone else involved the best of luck, and everyone who isn't a pleasant week.

G'bye.

Eoin.

Truly A Tour-de-Force In Creative Genius.

That's what I was called today by a visiting musician to the KDYS.... He might have been joking, he not have been... But he said it upon reading my lyrics... So... I'll go for the first option to keep myself satisfied.

So, I'm back here, out of boredom, mind you. It's been a strange 2 and a bit months, I must say. Many things a happening, many the trip to distant places a-happening, and many musics a-happening.

To be honest with you, I don't really know what to write here.... That's how odd life has gotten for me... I can't think of anything to write...

Hmm... Perhaps I'll just go over life for me at the moment:
I am currently...
Tired all the time,
Constantly bored,
Listening to more music,
Harbouring murderous intentions toward certain people,
In a happy and stable relationship,
Making a movie for Maltese Cross,
Watching more TV,
Trying to find an excuse to get out of the house more often.

And that is my life at the moment, a mixture of good and bad, so overall mediocre.

Hopefully someone will read this... People usually don't.

Well, I'll be off. More will be written soon though.

Cheers,
Eoin.

Shiver Me Timbers... I'm Sailing Away.

Hallo.

So... I'm back here again... I think I'll use Xanga as a solice for when I'm bored and have some completely random thoughts that come into my head spill out onto the computer screen.

So, here we go...

Was in Cork this weekend. For EYP (European Youth Parliament). I must say that it was lots of fun... Aside from having to get up at 6 in the morning and such. But still, lots of fun! I found a love for arguin with people over pointless political topics for some reason. It's fun to argue. And it feels great to actually know people are listening to your opinion, not just saying tell you to shut up and calling you a "Goth Frake". So yeah!
I met a lot of cool people in Cork, primarily these two guys called Barry (From Clonmel) and Shane (From Waterford), both of which I roomed with in the Hostel. That was chosen at complete random for some reason... But still, luckily they liked good music so we got on like a hostel on fire. The hostel didn't actually catch fire though... But still, lots of fun, and more than likely I'm going to Nationals in Dublin over Summer, so, more fun!

I'm quite looking forward to Paris next week... The prospect of meeting France's finest underneath the Eiffel Tower amuses me. I'm looking forward to see what they say to "I'm calling the police".... I bet they talk with knives...

Well, i'm out of things to say so I'm going to leave you with some words from Tom Waits:

"It takes much more than just wild courage Or you'll hit just the tattered clouds you must have just the right bullets And the first one's always free".

Cheers,
Eoin.
